dingy Posted September 12, 2012 #1 Posted September 12, 2012 I pulled apart an 85 1200 donor motor this weekend and found a different looking set of clutch friction plates in it. Anyone seen these before? The friction pads are smaller than a stock set. I don't really think these will be good in a modified motor. Prairiehammer Posted September 12, 2012 #3 Posted September 12, 2012 Is that a slipper clutch? http://www.r1-forum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=285478
Prairiehammer Posted September 12, 2012 #5 Posted September 12, 2012 Further research tends to indicate that it is a carbon fiber or kevlar friction plate, perhaps from Barnett? http://www.ebay.com/itm/Road-Star-Barnett-Carbon-Fiber-Performance-Clutch-Kit-/350474876438?pt=Motorcycles_Parts_Accessories&hash=item5199ee3616&vxp=mtr
