Miles Posted September 11, 2012 #1 Posted September 11, 2012 If any of the riders in Western Washington have the Valve Shim Kit, and Tool for the Second Generation bikes, and are willing to allow me to borrow it for a couple days, please let me know. If no one does have the Valve Shim Kit and Tool in our area, then let's make certain of that, and I will go ahead and buy a new Kit and Tool, and have it available for use of all forum members in Western Washington. We might even let those rainy day people down in Oregon use our stuff . So, if you have the shim kit and tool, please contact me. Thanks,
djh3 Posted September 11, 2012 #2 Posted September 11, 2012 If you can hang off buying one yet. Bob Myers is working on making some that should be of better quality than the cast pieces. I havent heard what latest status was but I think going to get hardened. And there is a kit avail that ships around. I'm trying to remember who has it. I just saw a post in the last couple days, maybe I can find it.
etcswjoe Posted September 11, 2012 #3 Posted September 11, 2012 If you buy the Gaskets off of SKYDOC_17 he will send you the shim kit and tool for shipping cost which is about 15 bucks and when you are done pay for shipping back. He charges $25 a piece for the gaskets.
Miles Posted September 11, 2012 Author #4 Posted September 11, 2012 Chief Joe, that is good info. Thanks. I think I will do that, unless I hear from someone else in BEAUTIFUL Western Washington. Thanks, Miles
djh3 Posted September 12, 2012 #5 Posted September 12, 2012 I saw a post the other day someone was looking fro skydoc trying to get his tool kit back to him. They had not got a hold of him yet.
