Peder_y2k Posted September 11, 2012 #1 Posted September 11, 2012 How does one repair/replace/fix a ruptured cover for the noise sensing microphone on the VR radio controls? -Pete, in Tacoma WA USA '83, 88 Venture
frankd Posted September 11, 2012 #3 Posted September 11, 2012 Kirby, He's a 'trial' member, so he may not understand how to use Seafoam for this. You could make a cover out of electrical tape and see how that sounds. Use only 1 layer though. Frank D.
PBJ Posted September 11, 2012 #4 Posted September 11, 2012 Good question. i'm not sure it's ever been brought up before.
jdross440 Posted September 11, 2012 #5 Posted September 11, 2012 I put a small piece of velcro, self sticky pile type over mine. Works good. Volume still comes up and down with speed like it did without it.
big dude Posted September 11, 2012 #6 Posted September 11, 2012 i used a small piece of a product called(i think) outerwears from airfilter cover from my sons quad.. its a waterproof.. he raced quads so i had some around the garage.I used 100% silcone to adhere it. that stuff sticks to anything.
