reddevilmedic Posted September 7, 2012 #1 Posted September 7, 2012 local "have everything" shop just got a handful of these mortar tubes. watertight, deep, heavy. $30.00 !! score! 24inches interior height, 6 3/4 diameter.
Eck Posted September 7, 2012 #2 Posted September 7, 2012 What do you use them for?, to place important papers in sort of like a safe?
reddevilmedic Posted September 7, 2012 Author #3 Posted September 7, 2012 im storing ammo in them. but you can use them for whatever. they are very "safe" like.
ragtop69gs Posted September 8, 2012 #4 Posted September 8, 2012 How much did you have to give for them, if ya don't mind me asking?
Kirby Posted September 8, 2012 #5 Posted September 8, 2012 They look an awful lot like the canisters that contained white bag powder charges that we used when I was crew chief on a M109A6 155mm SP Howitzer. Very watertight!!
reddevilmedic Posted September 8, 2012 Author #6 Posted September 8, 2012 30 bucks. i doused them with a hose, then let the rain have its way for about 2 hours. completely dry interior. im going to bury one of them at BOL.

Kirby Posted September 8, 2012 #8 Posted September 8, 2012 Small world ain't it. Green bag was taller and smaller in diameter. Looks more like white bag can.
