I fell a sleep once, had been riding all night, was on 441 north off of 84 out of Atlanta, heading north over a big bridge. fell asleep crossing it. woke up on the other side. I pulled over fast, and parked under a tree, and went back to sleep for a few hours.

I've fell asleep several times through the years but never have crashed.

It sure wakes me up for a while.

A small pit stop and I'm good to go.

Usually happens after I have stopped for lunch. I do enjoy my afternoon naps.:whistling:

I fell asleep on my Yamaha 400 a long time ago. All I remember is coming up to the corner where I was to turn left I blinked and woke up a mile down the road. I had ridden through several corners and down a hill. I had to turn around and go back to get to work.

Once in a car, off road, between two poles, back across the road, up a hill and woke up.. Drove the car back on the road and on home....

This was the time in my life I discovered two things:

Angels!:thumbsup2:

and how to sleep in my car instead of trying to make it home.

Twice....both in the car.

once on the superslab in the winter...woke up as the truck bounced off the snow bank alonside the center barrier.....no damage done

once after night shift. The gravel shoulder on the wrong side of the road woke me up.

Thankfully no one was coming.

Once in 18 wheeler, coming down the hill towards Lake Hubbard on 30(in 1982), woke up driving and bouncing in the median, pulled it back on the road made my delivery to building next to airport, tried to go to sleep while unloading, woke up screaming, couldn't sleep for 2 days from that fright.

Once on the Venture when I rode to Salt Lake, dozed off, held it straight on the road, my riding partner woke me up blowing his horn at me when I wouldn't answer him on the radio.

Riding some twistys in the back of a group, I was quite literally fighting for my life to stay awake. Had eaten lunch about an 1hr before but this was way worse than the post-meal drowsies. Got to the bottom and stopped for a break and I was instantly fine.

Figured out I was being CO poisoned by an old sportster that was running really rich directly in front of me.

That is definitely something we all need to be aware of when riding in a large group. I went on a poker run back in July where there were several rough-running old bikes in a group. After the 2nd stop I made sure to get out ahead of them, didn't get sleepy but it sure made me nauseated smelling those fumes.
