Longest distance between 2 points

I'm sure others can easily top this.... but.. how far out of your way have you gone to get somewhere?

For example....

- went to a Tim Horton's 22km away but put 145km on the odometer

I live 7 miles from where I work. One day it took me 110 miles to get home!

I rode cross county in 1988, had to go south from California to SC, to run north to Up state NY, because of all the flooding in the central states, took and extra 4 days to get home:Venture:

We left Lawrenceville Ga. headed to Fredricksburg Va. Thats roughly 400 miles.

We had a little over 2000 on the clock when we got there.

No plans, route or schedual. It was a great trip.

Did about an extra 8,500 miles, to get to last years Cody International rally, from Vancouver Island, Via Pakidaho, Grandpagak,Youper, Big Tom, Yammerdan, Minimuffin, Eck & the Sleeperhawks, Randya & SGN, Wrongway. Missed Snaggletooth by about 8 miles, but we were not leaving the air conditioned room once we checked in (we were wiped from that days ride).........
