treecol Posted August 31, 2012 #1 Posted August 31, 2012 Do any of you over here in the UK have any idea how to change the radio so I can pick up Uk channels? My '08 Venture was imported from the US new. So far I can only recieve the odd channel very badly. I know that Dobels Honda change the US import Goldwings, but they won't spill the beans! Thanks if you can advise what to do.

bongobobny Posted August 31, 2012 #3 Posted August 31, 2012 Other than that, generally it is just a matter of changing a jumper or two on the radio PC board. No, sorry, I do not have a manual or the specifics but maybe either Yamaha or Clarion may be obliging...
RandyR Posted August 31, 2012 #4 Posted August 31, 2012 some of the amateur radio guys here may have gotten far enough into the radio to have found a schematic for it????
Old Miner Posted September 5, 2012 #5 Posted September 5, 2012 Hi. Have a look at my thread: http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?p=341840&highlight=Radio+Gaga#post341840 I had the same problem and cured it. Old Miner.
treecol Posted September 5, 2012 Author #6 Posted September 5, 2012 Cheers, lots of good advice as usual. I'll do a search on ebay & see what I can buy. At the moment it's the only 'annoyance' but only minor!
Old Miner Posted September 6, 2012 #7 Posted September 6, 2012 Hi. I contacted the manufacturer, I trawled the Internet all to no avail so I found that converter on e-bay fitted it in line with the arial and to a power supply and forgot about it. I think the most annoying thing is that the majority of UK radio transmissions are on the frequency that the stock radio wont pick up like 102.2 and 107.4. As it skips these frequencies. All the best. Neil. Old Miner. www.oldminer.co.uk
djh3 Posted September 7, 2012 #8 Posted September 7, 2012 When I first saw this thread I thought to myself that it must be a metric frequency output or something. I would have never thought the UK would have different radio waves. I thought radio was radio.
