1'st gen rear end chang

Does anybody know what other year rear end will work in a 87 first gen? I have not taken the bike apart yet but from what i have read here it sounds like a rear end nut issuse.

I have one as well. I replaced mine with a Vmax unit for some more go-power with the sidecar. If you want a little more steam, this is the time to make the switch. I believe that the units up to 2005 will fit, Dingy and others would know.
