Car Hire Recommendations for 2013

We will be flying in to New York, then hiring a car [Chrysler Grand Caravan] to drive to Freebird's MD and do a little touring on the west coast, till it's time to go to Portland OR to get the trike.

 

Can anyone recommend car hire companies where we would get the best deal e.g: unlimited miles ??

Which airport you flying into? Found this link for rentals at JFK which gives info on all the companies. Not sure if it helps but here it is.

If at possible you be better renting off airport property even it is just a block away will save you a ton in taxes and fees..

 

You can return it to the airport and and not pay the fees, just when you pick the car up is at the fees kick in..

 

Most car rentals or the ones I know of have unlimited mileage avis, budget, hertz etc.
