Squidley Posted August 27, 2012 #28 Posted August 27, 2012 The paint really matched up well, I remember talking with you about 5 weeks ago or so and didn't expect it to match as well as it does. Good fabrication job too, out of the box thinking at it's best. I noticed the rear looking lean of the seat too, just an optical from what you mentioned. As long as y'all are comfortable on it thats all that counts....Good job my friend
rickardracing Posted August 27, 2012 #29 Posted August 27, 2012 The paint code was developed off of my 07 RSV. The paint supply put this thingy mabob doohicky on my saddle bag and it scanned the color and presto chango we have the purdiest blue. It may not be a perfect match if you were to do some touch up on a tank or fender, but on something not directly attached to a mating surface, you can't see a differance. When I first saw the trunk, I did not think it was going to look good on the bike. Now that it's painted and on, I think it looks pretty darn nice. I would not do any badging of any kind myself. Let J-Bird do his thing next year and call it good.
