1987 Venture With Transmission Problems

Has anyone ever had the spring loaded cog gear to bust into 4 different pieces

Middle gear and ring gear ok

Yep, I fixed one for Big Dude a couple of years ago, seems like he hit the gas hard when he shifted into second gear and he's a bit heavy....... Had to tear it apart (the motor) to pull the tranny apart and repair..... got a new spring along with the cog, seems like the one Yammi replaced it with is a bit shorter and less strength.....

Same thing happend to me, picked up a 86 bout 4 years ago still have the motor in my shop never got round to fixing it .
