GeorgeS Posted August 20, 2012 #1 Posted August 20, 2012 OK, I'm ordering a new E3 for the Rear on the 08 RSTD.( MV85B-15 ) As to installing a Narrower, front tire to replace the OEM Bridgestone ?? ( The 150/80 - 16H OEM now installed ) Dunlop is showing Front size, 150/80-16, and MT90B16H sizes for E3 type. OK question, is for installing a Narrower Tire on the front, what is the preferred Brand, and Size to order. ( Not the cheap tires !! ) Is the MT90B16H the one to order ??? Or do I have to get a Michelen, or Avon for the front, in order to have the narrower tire up front for Improved Handleing ???
Pic Posted August 20, 2012 #2 Posted August 20, 2012 The MT90B16H is the narrower front tire. It is a 130/90 compared to the stock 150/80. I just put one on my 07 RSV and can tell a big difference in handling.

Pegasus1300 Posted August 20, 2012 #4 Posted August 20, 2012 I put the 130/90 on the front of my 08 RSTD and ended up going back to the stock tire. For me the narrower tire made the front of the RSTD too sensative.Remember the RSTD does not have the weight on it that the RSV has and that makes a difference.
RandyR Posted August 20, 2012 #5 Posted August 20, 2012 I have a narrower Avon on my RSTD and like it.
spke Posted August 20, 2012 #6 Posted August 20, 2012 You want to us MT90B16H as oppsoed to 130. MT90 has higher weight capacity.
