dacheedah Posted August 18, 2012 #26 Posted August 18, 2012 Recovery may be a possibility in safe mode or reformat and install the os from the original discs.
Yammer Dan Posted August 18, 2012 Author #27 Posted August 18, 2012 Did you go to the Microsoft website to run the security essentials or did something pop up to take you there? I have it on desktop
Yammer Dan Posted August 18, 2012 Author #28 Posted August 18, 2012 Malware bytes software is free and will clean out stuff that Norton and avg AntiVirus software cant. You first need to be able to boot to windows however, try F8 during boot and select safe mode. Do not have F8 only F2 and F12 work.thats another problem not much to work with.
Yammer Dan Posted August 18, 2012 Author #29 Posted August 18, 2012 Recovery may be a possibility in safe mode or reformat and install the os from the original discs. No safe mode without F8 key only got F2 and F12
Flyinfool Posted August 18, 2012 #30 Posted August 18, 2012 Keyboards are cheap. Even if you end up getting a new puter you can still use the new keyboard. You have to know someone that has an old keyboard laying around that you can borrow. Maybe Seafoam will help.......
