I have now ridden with 3 different groups of PGR. I haven't seen any ego issues or disrespect to the flag.

 

In fact I learned a thing or two on flag edicate since joining. Our group always stands in a circle while they play and sings the Lee Greenwood song of "Proud to be an American" together at the staging.

 

Good thing some of the guys have good sound systems on their bikes.. I haven't found the song on cassette yet...

I am a member and think it is a great organization. There are a lot of dedicated people that travel many miles to honor a fallen hero. You can't blame the PGR for some of the jackasses that ride that don't have enough of a brain to cover up some of their patches. I was on one mission and we had a flag line at the back of the church where the hearst was bringing in the fallen hero. In front of me was a scum bag that had a patch in the center of his back that said, "F**k You, I already have enough friends. How dispicable and disgracefull can you be. This guy has a business in town but you can bet your life I will never ever do any business with him. What you do on your own time is your business but what you do on your own time will reflect on your business. The guy has auto body repair shop and I have an insurance agency. Everytime one of my customers ask for a good body shop to go to I tell them not to go to his. I don't like being around the 1% ers but I understand sometime they show up but are respectful.

I think that you should put a strip of black duct tape inside your vest. Next time you see him, pat him on the back as you walk by...with the duct tape in your hand. That should cover up the "f" word and once he finds it..who knows when, he might realize it is offensive and do something about it.

 

My PGR vest is strictly a PGR vest with military, MIA, PGR, memoriam and related patches and pins. If I want a riding vest, I'll get a separate riding vest. The PGR vest is good for both.
