Sounds like you are customizing a seat. I helped my friend customize his 2nd Gen seat for CHRISTmas last year...so... if you need some help, here is my handi work:

Cougar, Thanks let me know.

Kic, no thanks fella.... LOL

I'm going to modify a second gen seat by cutting away portions of the bottom and installing a waterproof 90 CFM fan. Then will streech a breathable top across using different materials so entire top surface is porous/breathable. Going to be an interesting challange doing the top as it must be comfortable and look good. And NO IT'S NOT GOING TO BE PINK!

Is this going to be for cold weather? I can see where that MIGHT work if you are trying to warm the seat but if you attempting to cool a seat, it just seems that you are going to blowing engine heat into it.

Not if I place a thin aluminum plate under the fan so that it has to pull air in from the sides...

concept borrowed from laptop cooler pad....:whistling:

But with slideeable areas I can see where you could also heat it Thanks Freebird

Better put some bug screens on it too. Ya wouldn't want to pull in any hornets.:stirthepot::rotf:

I want to try something like this for a winter project. I was thinking about trying to install a TED (thermo-electric device). A TED can be found in some newer vehicles used to cool the seats. I work for a Ford dealer and am waiting to hopefully get one from a warranty return to try so as to try and keep costs to a minimum in case this project fails. :080402gudl_prv:
