Peder_y2k Posted August 14, 2012 #1 Posted August 14, 2012 What is the function of the little nylon roller on the horizontal carb linkage bar as indicated by the yellow arrow in the attached image? Should the pull-open throttle cable rest on this roller? This is on an '88 Venture Royale ZVZ1300 -Pete, in Tacoma WA USA '88VR
mbrood Posted August 14, 2012 #2 Posted August 14, 2012 It's just a spacer for the 1-2 choke linkage. The "pull open" throttle cable routes into the large metal sleeve above it.
Peder_y2k Posted August 14, 2012 Author #3 Posted August 14, 2012 So the 'pull-open' throttle cable in the image is routed correctly, and the moving cable is not sliding over the little roller? On my '88, the cable slides over the roller and seems to work fine. If misrouted, then I need to re-route the cable in keeping with the design. -Pete, in Tacoma WA USA
mbrood Posted August 14, 2012 #4 Posted August 14, 2012 Yep, the picture is as she was suppose to be. Since it's a on the coupler for the choke mechanism, you wouldn't want ANYTHING messin' with it. There's a couple more, on the other side I think. They do look a little odd but we put 'em back like we found 'em !
Peder_y2k Posted August 14, 2012 Author #5 Posted August 14, 2012 Thanks for the info, now for about an hour of work to re-route the cable. -Pete, in Tacoma WA USA
