Definitive color chart

I am aware of the forum section that discusses the history of the Venture. It has a section for colors by year (link below).

While the person credited for listing all the different variations is to be commended, I believe we need to take it a step further to include pictures of said colors. My reasoning is that some years came with multiple color combos, and in some cases, you cannot tell which color combo a particular V or VR has. For example, in 1987 it lists;

 

1987 brown DS/DT Copper Brown/ Birch Brown

1987 brown DS/DT Elegant Brown/ Imperial Brown

 

among others, but several of us have not been able to distinguish between the color combos.

 

So my proposal is to have fellow forum member post pictures of their bikes designating the color they have. Preferably, it will be based on paperwork they have on their bikes, or even better a color brochure of that particular model year. A good example would be the post below by mbrood which includes the 1986 brochure listing the different color bikes featured in it.

Mine is the Urushi 86... just looks black until under good sun and then the cherry color comes out.

The 1986 Venture sales brochure lists:

Venture in Midnight Silver

VR in either Urushi Black or Birch Brown

and SHOWS the Utushi Black with Marshall Gold, the plain Venture with what LOOKS like the Urushi Black (midnight?) and "silver" highlight and another Royale I "suppose" must be the Birch Brown and Copper Brown.

That picture is kind of small to determine what the paint looks like. However according to the aforementioned color chart, these were the choices in 1983;
