1989 yamaha venture royal 1300

I need a little help on my 1989 Yamaha venture royal 1300 the air comp panel doesn't come on most of the time

It will come on once in a while buy its self but it has no display most of the time.

I have checked the plug it all looks fine. Have any idea what I need to do?

First off it is only powered up when the key is in the Acc position. It then performs a self check, before you can check or adjust, the front or rear pressures.

A good test is to lift the access panel it sits on, then grab the power connector to the air controller and push it one way... turn on the ACC. Turn it off and push it the other way and repeat... if you see any difference the connector on the controller needs resoldered.
