Just wondering if anyone has taken there wiskers off the fairing and how does it look....?They really don't strike my fansey. and just where is my gas filter???:cool10::whistling: Ron

Took mine off when I had the bike painted. In fact I left all the emblems off except the one on the trunk.

 

As far as the fuel filter, it is behind the cover under the seat next to the fuel pump. Not under the tank, like the dealer told me.:whistling:

Fuel filter is under the seat on the left side of the battery box. It is a fair PIA to get to.

It is held in by a rubber strap that is hooked on to a metal tab.

 

Still have my eyebrows, I have read where folks have used fishing line or dental floss to get between the fairing and the eyebrow, just saw thru the double sided adhesive, and the remove any left over glue and wax the the affected area.

I have removed the whiskers, the tank biib, all the emblems, the rotor covers, the fender ornamemts, and more from mine. Check pics in gallery.

I like mine too. I want people that I meet to not think I'm riding one of those "other bikes".

 

You don't have to worry about that Kirby.......they won't be dodging parts falling off of yours ;)

I like the looks of them being off from the pictures that were sent. I'm thinking of takeing them off now I see what it looks like and maybe use them on the side bags.. I see there is some trikes out there the wife has been bugen me to trike mine Ron:whistling:
