Eddie Posted August 3, 2012 #1 Posted August 3, 2012 It must be nice to have a product to sell and anticipate a problem and be able to raise a price 30 % without proof of a problem to come.
Eddie Posted August 3, 2012 Author #5 Posted August 3, 2012 wonder what that product can be. ? gasoline
CaptainJoe Posted August 3, 2012 #7 Posted August 3, 2012 With the drought this year desimating the corn crops, combined with the steadfast amounts of ethanol that are mandatory in gasoline, Get ready to hold on to your hat! You ain't seen anything yet. Food's going up Gas's going up and if isreal "pulls the trigger" all hell is gonna break lose.
Caveman Posted August 3, 2012 #8 Posted August 3, 2012 My contingency plan....... ride my motorcycle more and loose about 20 pounds.
Eddie Posted August 3, 2012 Author #9 Posted August 3, 2012 My contingency plan....... ride my motorcycle more and loose about 20 pounds. Very good plan , I would like to copy that one
Dano Posted August 3, 2012 #10 Posted August 3, 2012 That's why I rode my bike over and back to Columbus, Oh on Wednesday,,,,,,$51 to ride the bike 450 miles with over a 1/2 tank left over versus $150 +/- to take the truck. Wife was kinda PO'd (that was my first long ride since my deer wreck late last fall) but I think that shows her the savings.....

RandyR Posted August 3, 2012 #12 Posted August 3, 2012 most corporations are always looking at ways they can raise prices. No one's trying to save you money.
Rick Haywood Posted August 3, 2012 #13 Posted August 3, 2012 Gas has went from $3.19 a gallon here on on July 12th to $3.94 a gallon yesterday.
Flyinfool Posted August 3, 2012 #15 Posted August 3, 2012 Yup here to. Monday I paid 3.32 for gas and today I paid 4.03. It went up 0.69 in 5 days and it ain't gonna stop going up any time soon. Then on the news this morning the price of OJ is going up because there is a tropical storm SOUTH of Cuba heading west toward southern Mexico, but it MIGHT, MAYBE, POSSIBLY reach Florida?
Rick Haywood Posted August 3, 2012 #16 Posted August 3, 2012 Save your ammo and get ready the day is coming.
tomephil Posted August 3, 2012 #17 Posted August 3, 2012 Good to see your back on two wheels. Yep, Me too.
Flyinfool Posted August 3, 2012 #18 Posted August 3, 2012 Save your ammo and get ready the day is coming. Need to start stocking up. I always get nervous when there are less than a few thousand rounds in the house......
XV1100SE Posted August 3, 2012 #19 Posted August 3, 2012 Price of gas here this morning is $1.28/L... or $4.85/U.S. gal. Consider yourself lucky ! In other words... quite your b!tch'n ! A lot of our goods are more expensive. Up until this year the RSV was $2500 more up here, electronics are more expensive (eg camera I'm looking at is $339 here and $279 there). Best thing we have over the U.S. is universal health care.

XV1100SE Posted August 3, 2012 #21 Posted August 3, 2012 whatcha talking about we now have (obama care) Like I said... we have better (less expensive but longer wait times) health care.
Yamamike Posted August 3, 2012 #22 Posted August 3, 2012 What I find interesting is when sometimes the price at the pump is on the way up while the price of crude can be going down!! Creative math??
ediddy Posted August 3, 2012 #23 Posted August 3, 2012 It's interesting that when the price of gas went up everything else, such as produce and other grocery items, went up because it cost more to ship. But when gas went down the prices didn't go back down. They never do.
Brown Angel Posted August 3, 2012 #24 Posted August 3, 2012 these people are just looking for reasons to raise the prices and when the media say its going up then they take it upon themselves to just do it.
RandyR Posted August 3, 2012 #25 Posted August 3, 2012 the elections here are costing 7 billion dollars. The corporations have to do something to offset the costs of contributions to the PACS so that bonuses can keep going up at the expected rate.
