Sweetnothing Posted January 20, 2008 Posted January 20, 2008 congrats courtney!! looks like a great house for you! great lines, nice woodwork, and lots of energy in that house!! have fun making it your own!!
wild hair 39 Posted January 20, 2008 Posted January 20, 2008 So I have lived in a mobile home park for the last few years and really decided it was time to get out and make the big plunge to buy a house. I was especially motivated when two weeks ago some folks that I assume to be ex or current hispanic gang members (due to their tattoos) moved in next door. I had already been approved for financing, but I suppose I just was a little scared to take this big step. That is, until I found the PERFECT house. I put in an offer Thursday morning, there was another offer that came in by noon, I put in a counter-offer and I got it! Folks, this house is perfect for me. It has a cottage-feel and would be entirely inspiring creatively. It has a two car heated garage - PERFECT for my pottery studio, and also storing the bike! The yard is already fenced in. So basically Bogie and I could move right in and be perfectly happy, warm, and safe. Now, I still have to go through the inspection process so I'm hoping nothing horrible turns up with that. I've attached some pictures of it! can you handle a garage,it takes a lot of getting used to,mite come by to show how to put a venture in it,congraution, all the luck ,in the world lowell
Guest Saddletramp Posted January 20, 2008 Posted January 20, 2008 Go for it girl, nothing like owning your own home.
Blusees Posted January 20, 2008 Author Posted January 20, 2008 Thanks all for being excited for me! Nope, I didn't take the pictures. I got them all from the realtor. I'm planning on taking more when I go through the house with the inspector. The upstairs 1/2 story is all open with window nooks and stained glass windows. I can't wait to paint it with all the nooks and slanted ceilings... And yes, there WILL be a meet and eat in the summer... Plenty of room to park bikes in the garage and driveway. Bogie would love to meet all of you! Wildhair - I think it will be tough, but I'm sure I can get used to having a garage. I need to put some more insulation up in the ceiling. It had a new roof in '03, but they didn't replace the insulation. Stardbog, do you wire pottery kilns???? That purchase is still a way off, but darn it would be nice to not have to haul my pottery into town to have it fired! AND, the best part is that I will have room to park trailers/trucks/bikes, whatever... If anyone is passing through and needs a place to crash! I expect lots of folks to visit Trek Fest in the summer (Riverside is the future birthplace of Captain James T. Kirk)! The upstairs is practically begging for an art easel and some oil paints. I think I'll have to add oil painting to my pass-times! --Courtney
