eusa1 Posted July 30, 2012 #2 Posted July 30, 2012 Hannigan seems to be the choice of most here ask: Cougar B2dad
steamer Posted July 30, 2012 #3 Posted July 30, 2012 Hannigan and tri-wing are the only trike convertions available for the venture. Unless you find a motortrike convertion allready done. the last year motortrike did the venture was in 2002.
Solodadof2 Posted July 30, 2012 #4 Posted July 30, 2012 Contact Charlie Greene 309-241-3565 Rick Heywood and I are both close friends of Charlie's He can set you up. It would probably be a Hannigan, but he does have access to 5 different trike companies.
Carbon_One Posted July 30, 2012 #5 Posted July 30, 2012 Yep two choices is all we get for these bikes. Hannigan & Tri-Wing. It would be interesting thou if any of the other trike companies will or would be willing to add their name to to the pot. If Solodadof2's friends have access to other brand trikes perhaps one could be adapted to the Venture without much hassle. Larry
Nemo Posted July 30, 2012 #6 Posted July 30, 2012 I've have only had my "Hannigan/Venture" now for just a few days, but I will say that lt is truly a the most beautiful, comfortable, enjoyable, solid and a greatest handling trike anywhere. There may be better ones, but I don't think so. I'd say the Hannigan is "Top of the line" in my opinion. It was my number one choice and I'm very proud of her! Should have done it ten years of so ago. Just do it and forget all about the dollars, which you can't take with you anyway. Owen.
b2dad Posted July 31, 2012 #7 Posted July 31, 2012 We've had ours for 3 yrs now and wouldn't trade it for any other. Hannigan may be a little more expensive but it's the Cadillac of conversions. The main factory is about 30 minutes from us. Come visit, talk to them. They love to show prospective customers around. Find out how it's all done. Would be glad to show you around. Patti
friesman Posted July 31, 2012 #8 Posted July 31, 2012 keep in mind that you cant import a completed trike into Canada. the kit has to be imported and then assembled in Canada. As I understand it this law was a sideeefect of getting those unsafe Honda Big Red trikes out of the marketplace years ago. Big Bob here has just has his compllted this spring at a dealer in Winnipeg, but I heard he had issues with the dealer and I dont think he will recommend the dealer there. Send him a message or call Bob, he may have info about the Canada import issues. Brian

I think Voyager and Tow-Pac make kits that some members here have installed. Also What would you think of a sidecar option. I just installed one and so far like it.
dacheedah Posted July 31, 2012 #12 Posted July 31, 2012 I think Tow Pac is made in Aroma Park, a few miles from us. I have seen a few locally and driven past their facility but never stopped by.
Pegasus1300 Posted July 31, 2012 #13 Posted July 31, 2012 TriKing also makes a kit for the Venture but you have to go to their facility in Florida to have it installed. I have the TriKing on my GW and quite like it tho it does need a rake kit to make it steer better.I will add that this fall from the guy at TrikeTalk. I also ride with a fellow who has a Hannigan on his Venture and had the Hannigan EZ steer put in it.I rode it and it was a dream very easy to steer and a great ride. I know many are happy with their Voyager or Tow Pac kits but if you need 3 wheels go all the way with either a sidecar or a trike. I just did not feel very comfortable with either of the 2 kits.I also ride with 2 people who have put Hannigan sidecars on their bikes, one a Harley Ultra and the other a 1500GW and they really like them also.Check out www.triketalk.com lots of good information about 3 wheelers.
