Freebird Posted January 18, 2008 #1 Posted January 18, 2008 Folks, here is a very nice offer from KR1 (Kevin). You can't be the first to place an order because I've already done it. Here is him email to me. If you want one of these, please PayPal your $10.00 to dnelson@axcesswave.com and put "CD" in the comments box and I'll see that all the money goes into the fund. Don, I would be willing to help move this fund raiser along by donating 50 of my CD's "Freedom of the Heart". This CD is a mixture of country and inspirational songs. Many of the people who have bought this CD have bought it for themselves, or as a gift for parents, or just someone that needs a lift in their life. There are 8 songs on this CD: Let Freedom Ring, Best Friends, American Tribute, Listen to the Whisper, Man in the Mirror, Welcome Home, Proud to be an American, and Homeland. If Ventureriders would like to offer these for sale to members for $10 each, and have the money collected by someone for Ventureriders, they could send me the names and addresses where these need to be shipped, and I would be willing to ship them out and cover the cost of the CD's, packaging and postage. If you're interested, let me know and I will be glad to help out. Thank you. KR
Squidley Posted January 18, 2008 #2 Posted January 18, 2008 In our day and age it is awsome to see that folks will step up to the plate. Thank you Kevin (KR1) for your time and effort, this place is what it is because of folks like you
KR1 Posted January 18, 2008 #3 Posted January 18, 2008 One of the reasons that I enjoy being a member of this group, is because we don't shy away from offering to help someone in need. Some of the greatest joy I get out of life is helping to ease the burdens of someone else, so I am always glad to help when ever I can. KR

Kregerdoodle Posted January 19, 2008 #6 Posted January 19, 2008 Kevin, What you are doing is beyond Awsome!!!! As it has been said, this is what makes this place what it is, every day I am more and more amazed at what a Family we are, and I am so honored to be a small part of it. God bless you!!
KR1 Posted January 19, 2008 #7 Posted January 19, 2008 Everyone likes to feel like they belong somewhere. At Venture Riders there is a real sense of community, even a sense of family. In the last year I have been a witness to many outpourings of kindness, love and charity from a great many members of our VR community. At the risk of sounding like a preacher, Charity is the pure love of Christ and I see examples of that great love shared by the majority of people in the VR community. I applaud all of our members for that, and I will continue to try and do my part to pay you back for your allowing me to belong. KR
Freebird Posted January 25, 2008 Author #8 Posted January 25, 2008 Received my CD today and just wanted to again thank Kevin for doing this. I was on my way to town when I stopped to check the mail and there it was. Enjoyed listening to it while running some errands. Very nice "feel good" songs sung...and some written I think...by one of our own.

KR1 Posted February 3, 2008 #11 Posted February 3, 2008 I just wanted to say thank you to all of you folks who have taken advantage of the CD offer in support of Cliffno350's son. I'm just glad that I've been able to assist in this effort. We truly have a great bunch of individuals that make this community the great place it is. I hope that everyone that has taken advantage of my offer to help through getting one of my CD's, might be able to enjoy the songs and the feelings that I tried to relate when writing the songs.
