My wife has one on her V*650 & loves it. Stock seat on her bike, so, there must be something different for each model.

I have a drivers backrest that I had to replace when my Venture was triked. I bought it from a friend who bought it to use on his TD but decided he did not like it against his back. If your looking for one and this one will fit, it's available at a good price. Photos if desired.

I have the whole set on my 97'RS

 

Is the best seat I ever had. Even compared with my Venture 2000

 

And yes, you can remove the back easy, as well as the seat.
