msshearin Posted July 11, 2012 Share #28 Posted July 11, 2012 I spent almost twenty years in the field, and I been in headquarters now over three years. I'm still dealing with everyone else's problems. If its the Lord's will, I got retirement in my sights. Only 1 year, 5 months, and 9 days to go, but who's counting? short timer for sure.......... Yammer Dan Posted July 12, 2012 Share #32 Posted July 12, 2012 all in fun my friend.....all in fun...... Didn't mean it any way else. I hung on to the bottom rung of the Law enforcement ladder for a lot of years as Correctional Officer. Anyone in Law Enforcement does a thankless job. Good ones bad ones in all levels. I've seen both.

I started in corrections and after a couple years applied for Deputy. Called in for interview. Walked in to interview board said "Nevermind" and walked out. Got called in by my warden and was told that wasn't very respectfull. I said but Sir I enjoy my work here so much..:whistling::whistling:Don't think he bought it either. There was just a person on the interview board that I had no respect for at all. Weather or not I got the job could have been interesting.
