Check out some of these. http://www.destinationcycles.com/Fairing-batwing-96-Royalstar.htm http://hoppeindustries.com/store/index.php?cPath=21_33_49 These seem pricey to me. Check the guys at www.recklessmotorcycles.com I bought one for my 900 Kawi I had to adapt but it worked well. I know they have Yamaha listings.

I've noticed a bunch of our advertisers have been running ads with their company's aftermarket batwing fairings. These include:

National Cycle, Memphis Shades, Kuryakyn, Tsukayu, and Dragonfly. Some even come with radio options, and they all vary.

I put a HD faring on my Roadstar, has the same windshield brackets as the early Royals. Go to www.roadstarclinic.com and in their tech section they have pic's on how to do it. I checked out that route and then did my own thing. Once you get the fairing in hand you can tell what you need to do, took me two months of procrastinating. Once I started I was done in a day and a half. Good luck on the project.....:080402gudl_prv:

I've got a 97 Tour Classic and got my fairing from http://www.wideopencustom.com/ . They make a very nice product. The V-Star fairing mounts fit the Royal Star. They are more expensive than Memphis Shades but less than the Hoppe and the radio sounds real good. Fairing with radio and painted to match the bike was about $900. Not quite quick detach but removal only takes about 5 minutes. It keeps the wind off my hands much better than the stock windshield.

I have the same one on my 08 RSTD and also have the Serious tunner for satalite radio. I had this same one on my other bike and took it off when I sold it and made brackets to fit this one.

So hows your fairing holding out? I really liked mine on the Kawi. Only regret was I should have investigated maybe some that fit other bikes, as the placement for the radio in the one I got (harley road king) put the radio in an interfearence place with handlebars and risers on the Kawi. Mine had 4 speakers and it didnt matter how loud you played it just about anything over 40 or so and you couldnt hear radio. I used ear buds on linger trips to hear radio.

over on delphiforums.com also look at the ultra-star forum too, these guy put them on their road stars and the same mounts will fit the royal star. also look at star parts forums, tim can give you some good advice on a fairing too.

My WOC fairing has a Jesen radio and 4 speakers and I can here it at any speed. This is the second bike this fairing has been on in 5 seasons and it is holding up great. If it will withstand the potholes in the roads in Vt it will withstand anywhere.
