Odometer not working

Hi. I owned a Venture XVZ12 1983 and the odometer is not working. I put it apart and find out the gears are worn out on the primary shaft. As I don’t think it is repairable, is anybody who has a spare working speedometer unit wants to sell? The shaft I refer to is the one left of the pen on the picture. Thanks.

Your just in luck, I have one but need to check if it still works and to see what shape it's in. Will let you know tomorrow when I have a chance to check it out.

If that dosen't work out, I have one.

It needs to be lubed, and the temp guage doesent work,

but I think you can replace it with the one from yours.

I've got my old dash set from my 90 upstairs, we replaced it because of the speedo was a little funky (turns out it was the cable, had a nice hole)

 

So it works fine, little faded, but fine.

Just checked out the one I have,,, it don't work either, the speedo works, but the odometer doesn't move at all, so I guess I'm no help to you.

My original odo is shot too, I gave up trying to find one that reads in Kms and switched the entire speedo head to miles from a US unit. it works fine and is fairly close.but I do use the GPS on e the hiway.
