Thistledown Posted January 16, 2008 #1 Posted January 16, 2008 I have a small dog, 16 lbs, and have had him on the bike with me a few times. He seems to like it and was wondering if anyone could suggest a good carrier or perhaps knows of a used one.
awsmsrv Posted January 16, 2008 #2 Posted January 16, 2008 A Google search yielded these results: http://www.topoftheline.com/pet-carrier-dog-crate.html http://www.scootworks.com/partspets.htm http://www.road-hound.com/ http://www.cbxmanmotorcycles.com/productinfo.aspx?productid=3515-0039&affid=4
Freebird Posted January 16, 2008 #3 Posted January 16, 2008 Here's one that I ran across the other day. I guess you would have to remove the trunk though. http://www.discountramps.com/dog-carrier-motorcycle.htm
Guest KitCarson Posted January 16, 2008 #4 Posted January 16, 2008 I went out and looked at the bike a bit.......you could make a covered board, fit it across the passenger seat with couple spacers and a temp designed clamp.....clamps with quick release pins or something..hooked to the passenger hand grips....put the little rascal in a dog body harness and put an eye ring in the back of the board....simply tether him so short he cannot jump off or fall off........maybe put the dog harness D-ring further back down on the harness......just an idea........I am always making something........
AKRefugee Posted January 16, 2008 #5 Posted January 16, 2008 Kit, Hey you forgot duct tape in there somewhere
royalstarjac Posted January 16, 2008 #6 Posted January 16, 2008 I've been considering the Road Hound pet carrier. It seems to be well made and safe in the event of a drop or minor accident. Not cheap though.-Jack
rod Posted January 16, 2008 #7 Posted January 16, 2008 Take a look here for ideas. Rod http://www.dogsonbikes.com/
