Rickster Posted July 1, 2012 #1 Posted July 1, 2012 2012 Victory Cross Country Tour, still thinking about what bling to install.................
bostonlawman2003 Posted July 1, 2012 #2 Posted July 1, 2012 That's a pretty machine right there! Hope she brings you many miles of happiness! My only question would be, Where's the tape deck on that thing?
Monty Posted July 1, 2012 #3 Posted July 1, 2012 Meet George Jetson... Always reminds me of that show.
bongobobny Posted July 1, 2012 #4 Posted July 1, 2012 What an eye opener!!! Motorcycle Tom is going to be jealous!!!
Rickster Posted July 1, 2012 Author #5 Posted July 1, 2012 Yeah I'm still searching where to put my cassette tape. It's funny I still keep reaching to turn things off or on like I was on my RSV............ but it isn't there.
Blackjack Posted July 1, 2012 #6 Posted July 1, 2012 I love the look and think you also got the very best color! Very, very nice...
msshearin Posted July 1, 2012 #8 Posted July 1, 2012 Nice bike......love the color. I think the shape of saddle bag and trunk was Buck Rodgers inspired
kevin-vic-b.c. Posted July 1, 2012 #9 Posted July 1, 2012 There is a group of guys around here that ride those... they all have them painted in cool black and white colors and added these real neat looking LED lights that flash real bright in red and blue too. They seam to ride them mostly in parades and stuff but some times you see them blasting around town well over the posted limits showing them off. They seem to like them..... enjoy your new ride.
playboy Posted July 1, 2012 #10 Posted July 1, 2012 Congratulations on the new ride. You going to put a hitch on it for your trailer.
Freebird Posted July 1, 2012 #11 Posted July 1, 2012 Very nice. I like it. I've never ridden one but I sat on one and the center of gravity was amazing.
Oldseadog Posted July 1, 2012 #12 Posted July 1, 2012 Congratulation on the new ride! I also like the Victory bikes. I was told that a dealer is opening up in our area soon, just don't know when. I will have to take a test ride for sure.
calperin Posted July 1, 2012 #13 Posted July 1, 2012 CONGRATULATIONS!!!!! If black looks like the Bat-Cycle!!! Out of questions: FIRST BLING NEEDS TO BE PASSING LAMPS!!!!! :080402gudl_prv::080402gudl_prv::080402gudl_prv: :cool10::cool10::cool10::cool10::cool10::cool10::cool10::cool10:
AzBones Posted July 1, 2012 #14 Posted July 1, 2012 Very nice... I wanted one of those, but couldn't scrape together enuf $$$. I've come to the realization that if I can't pay cash for something, I probably don't need it.
Kirby Posted July 1, 2012 #15 Posted July 1, 2012 If I were in the market for a NEW bike, that's exactly what I would look at first. It's P-U-R-T-Y.
Rickster Posted July 1, 2012 Author #16 Posted July 1, 2012 Thanks everyone as for passing lamps it comes standard with HID headlamp. Yes a hitch is in the works, dealer will install at no cost. Gee maybe I should paint mine up and put purdy red and blue lights on it and play po-po
darthandy Posted July 1, 2012 #17 Posted July 1, 2012 Very nice!! Have you thought of adding some "Venture" name plates (From the our gas tanks) to really play some neat head games with people? Could be fun and they are chromed!! Andy
motorcycletom Posted July 1, 2012 #18 Posted July 1, 2012 Nice ride congrates!!!! It looks even better in person. I can not wait to get mine in 3 years.
Rickster Posted July 2, 2012 Author #19 Posted July 2, 2012 (edited) Thanks MC Tom I can't wait til you get one as well. Had a blast today at Carpie's on Cuba Lake and Ellicottville see you soon. Edited July 2, 2012 by Rickster
Lone Eagle Posted July 2, 2012 #20 Posted July 2, 2012 Those are awesome bikes - did take one for a test ride, and the wife has said that that is our next bike (after couple of bills are paid first - LOL). I like Darthandy's idea - put the Venture name plates on it -
Solodadof2 Posted July 2, 2012 #21 Posted July 2, 2012 I am thinking if you want to keep up with the venture a good item to add is a tape Deck:rotf:
islandmech Posted July 2, 2012 #22 Posted July 2, 2012 Congratulation on the new ride! I also like the Victory bikes. I was told that a dealer is opening up in our area soon, just don't know when. I will have to take a test ride for sure. I think Action Motorcycles is the new dealer for Victory in Victoria. Perhaps to service the new Vic Police bikes. I really like the Cross Country, not quite so "out there" as the Vision. Some day.......
gibvel Posted July 2, 2012 #23 Posted July 2, 2012 (edited) Let us know how it compares to the Venture both good and bad!! Also curious. I've looked high and low on the Victory site and can't seem to find if it's got a CB standard. I don't even see it as an option on the customizing window. Edited July 2, 2012 by gibvel
kevin-vic-b.c. Posted July 2, 2012 #24 Posted July 2, 2012 I think Action Motorcycles is the new dealer for Victory in Victoria. Perhaps to service the new Vic Police bikes. I really like the Cross Country, not quite so "out there" as the Vision. Some day....... Yes Action got the service "contract" if you will but I am unsure that you will see a show room spot for the bikes. Not sure their other lines are willing to give up the square footage to make room for them. A lot of regulations in the contracts to have a dealer ship for a particular brand on display. You cannot just start stuffing them into the same room as KTM or Honda.
Ryana7769 Posted July 6, 2012 #25 Posted July 6, 2012 Congrats on the purchase! Mine is still on order.....been the longest couple of weeks of my life!!!!
