Bummer Posted June 28, 2012 #4 Posted June 28, 2012 My car's thermometer was reading 107 on my way to work at 5pm. It was reading the temp a foot or so above the pavement on I-70. Toasty!
a1bummer Posted June 28, 2012 #5 Posted June 28, 2012 These are the kind of days that make me think about cutting my windshield down.

Mel Posted June 29, 2012 Author #9 Posted June 29, 2012 http://weather.yahoo.com/united-states/indiana/indianapolis-2427032/?unit=f Temp showing 103F when I posted this. OK, we hit 104 in Indy on Thur. June 28, tied the record for the date set in 1954. Supposed to be over 100F again today (Fri. June 29) with higher humidity than yesterday. Jet stream is staying up in Canada, not bringing any cool air for a while. We're headed to Ohio for some family stuff, going in the cage. To Redneck--- It's supposed to be hot there where you are.
dacheedah Posted June 29, 2012 #10 Posted June 29, 2012 It was very hot driving, but when I hit a streatch of freshly laid asphalt, the temp shot up another 20-30 degrees . . .
Pic Posted June 29, 2012 #11 Posted June 29, 2012 Last summer we had 72 days of 100 or over in the Dallas area. Need us to send some your way?
dacheedah Posted June 29, 2012 #12 Posted June 29, 2012 My brother always complains when he comes here(from TEXAS) , when it's 100 here it's 78% humidity and not a cloud in sight so it feel like 130. You are at about 28% humidity so it feels like 100. We will gladly keep the humidity if u keep the fire ant's .
