Bobby G Posted June 26, 2012 #1 Posted June 26, 2012 Being the dumba$$ that I am, I fell last night and hit my right hand on a landscape rock. (No, not riding the bike, doing yardwork!) The result is a chipped bone just below the middle finger in the palm of the hand, and a partially torn ligament. So unless I can get the cruise control to work at under 40 mph and just use the rear brake, I'm grounded for awhile. And aren't you impressed that I typed this using my left hand only? And I'm not left handed!
Snaggletooth Posted June 26, 2012 #3 Posted June 26, 2012 From the rash of mishaps and injuries suffered lately by members while working on their property, homes and shops I think I'm going to pass on upkeep for a while and just go for a ride instead. Sounds safer. Hope ya heal quickly. Mike
bongobobny Posted June 26, 2012 #4 Posted June 26, 2012 Buy voice recognition software! Yes I am impressed a righty is able to type left hand only! Really slow, isn't it?!!? Heal fast my friend...

Eck Posted June 27, 2012 #9 Posted June 27, 2012 [And aren't you impressed that I typed this using my left hand only? And I'm not left handed! Not bad typing..The more practice you get with that left hand will come in handy come morning .... Is the T-paper located on the right, or left of your toilet.....?

dacheedah Posted June 27, 2012 #11 Posted June 27, 2012 Everyone that falls and hurts themselves is placed on penance, when healed you shall drive to Chicago , hit 94 during rush hour and drive. . .
Flyinfool Posted June 27, 2012 #12 Posted June 27, 2012 :scared: :scared: :scared: Glad I'm grandfathered on the new rule....... :rasberry: :rasberry:
The Marshal Posted June 27, 2012 #13 Posted June 27, 2012 Bobby G, sorry to hear that you decided to go and take a dive in the yard. Yard work is dangerous. I try to avoid it as much as possible. As far as you being able to use the front brake: Go ahead and ride! It will make you feel better. That, and the front brake is really overrated as a necessary component of motorcycling.
RandyR Posted June 27, 2012 #14 Posted June 27, 2012 As soon as my right hand healed enough to swing an 8lb sledge hammer, I'd show that rock who's boss....
utadventure Posted June 27, 2012 #15 Posted June 27, 2012 At least it's the middle finger. They can put it in a splint and you can go around letting everyone know what you think about not being able to ride....LOL Hope you get better soon and back on the bike. Dave
