Oh, I forgot to ask, is it like Don's with BYOTP? (Bring your own TP?) On a serious note, for those of us camping what kind of facilities are available? Just want to plan in advance, that's all. See you in a day!

It don't matter if I am going to stay at a 5 star hotel, I always have TP packed. Never know when you may quickly need it on the side of the road while in route after a bad burger.

There are clean porti poties with plenty of paper. No worries there.

And yes you can take a dip in the creek it will cool you off in a hurry. Getting worried about having a bonfire its really dry and I see that the DNR put burn bans on the countys next to us here. We may just be able to go with a good campfire. We will see if we get a good dew to move in to the valley.

They are already canceling fireworks on the 4th around here due to the dry.

But since I am going to be on a bike trip there is rain in the horrorcast every day.....

It is gonna be a hot one. I have planed my ride with the longest leg being the first one at 54.66 miles. So I'm a wuss with a delicate

Since this will be my first MD, what should I bring along? I know some have specific tools (carbtune, etc) that they're bringing, I'm bringing along my traveling tools, is there anything else I should have?

 

And Orlin, should I bring along some food or a dish to pass? I don't want to be a mooch. Just let me know.

You can bring a dish to pass if you would like and what you like to drink if you have a certain brand there will be some pop,beer and water. Other than that just have a safe ride here.

Well, loaded up and going to meet Mike and Di at the gas station then pick up Shirley at the office and we are off to Orlin's 1st annual MD and meet and eat. Gonna be a warm ride but got plenty of water. See everyone in the morning.

Made it home had a graet time, I think everyone did.

Thanks again to Orlin and his whole family for putting up with all of us.

 

Even the river monsters seemed to tolerate us ok. And there was no journalist there to document it.......

Yup, got home about 1pm, gave everyone hugs and kisses, took a shower, and climbed into bed since my wife was taking a nap while Tiva was napping too. Woke up at 7:30 for supper. She is soooo nice to me.
