OrlinEngh Posted June 23, 2012 #1 Posted June 23, 2012 Its getting close I will be cleaning the shop this week end and getting the campground ready. And I was down at the campground and that creek monster came out of the creek and went in the corn and started his laps threw the corn. Sure am looking forward to meeting some new freinds and seeing some old ones. Have a safe and enjoable ride here. Orlin and Sharon
warp1 Posted June 23, 2012 #2 Posted June 23, 2012 Orlin...I'm new to the site, but plan on being in central Wisconsin that weekend (if I get my trailer done). If so...I'll probably be heading over Saturday AM (about 2 hours by google map)(from Coloma). I won't be sticking around for the ride, grill, or camping so I can get back home and visit family. Just hoping to meet a bunch of you and spend a few hours talking bikes Bill
Little Bob Posted June 23, 2012 #3 Posted June 23, 2012 Orlin, Where in colma do you live? I am in Stevens Point Wi.
OrlinEngh Posted June 23, 2012 Author #4 Posted June 23, 2012 Hello Bill I am still new to the site, I am glad that I joined, Sure have got to meet and chat with some great people looking forward to the weekend and meeting somemore. See you on Satarday. Orlin
warp1 Posted June 23, 2012 #5 Posted June 23, 2012 Little Bob...it wasn't Orlin that's in Coloma...it was me. I now live in Cedar Rapids but grew up in Coloma. Still go up about once a month to visit my Mom.
OrlinEngh Posted June 26, 2012 Author #6 Posted June 26, 2012 Looked at the weather its going to be warm and lets hope the rain stays away I see 30 percent for here on Satarday. I know that there are those that are coming to ride on Satarday. My question is how long of a ride should be planed I have a few diffrent routes picked out. I would like to be back here 1 hour before dark to set up the food. Give me some feed back. Is there anyplace that people want see like the over look at Genoa or a ride to Wildcat Mt. Both can be done and maybe get in a rustic road or two. Orlin
Flyinfool Posted June 26, 2012 #7 Posted June 26, 2012 I guess that I am more interested in meeting people, BSing, eating, relaxing and playing with the bikes than going for any long rides. If one of these is a short ride that could still be fun. I do have to rest my delicate tush for the ride home ya know .....
Solodadof2 Posted June 26, 2012 #8 Posted June 26, 2012 Orlin I will go along with the rest, I am thankful that you are hosting the event and giving many of us an opportunity to meet some of our fellow forum members for the first time.
OrlinEngh Posted June 26, 2012 Author #9 Posted June 26, 2012 I looked at the Rustic Road map and we can do the 2 that are in the area they will fit in to the ride nice. I am looking foward to the weekend it will be good to everyone. Orlin
Solodadof2 Posted June 27, 2012 #10 Posted June 27, 2012 Anyone coming that may be interested in a new windshield for a RSTD 05-09 I have one in the classifieds that I would be willing to bring up to a buyer.
Flyinfool Posted June 27, 2012 #11 Posted June 27, 2012 I have started building my pile of stuff to bring. Any requests? Tools, toys, other ? ? ? ?
icebrrg3rd Posted June 27, 2012 #12 Posted June 27, 2012 Hmmm, I'm in negotiations right now, nothing positive but I'm hoping for a Fri evening ride out there, BS-ing, um, I mean maintenance Sat and a ride home Sat evening. Hopefully I'll know more in a day or so. Anyone know how to change tires or have the equipment? You bringing your Carbtune Jeff? -Andrew

OrlinEngh Posted June 27, 2012 Author #14 Posted June 27, 2012 I dont have the stuff to change tires but I will do some looking around and see if I can come up with. Orlin
Flyinfool Posted June 27, 2012 #15 Posted June 27, 2012 Yes the Carbtune is already in the pile of stuff to bring. What else should I bring. I think there will be a couple of cubic inches in the corner of the trailer that are not going to be filled with camping stuff.......

So you are saying you want me to pack the AC unit for my tent too? I might need a trailer behind the trailer. Like a mini road train. It is gonna be a hot one. OrlinEngh Posted June 28, 2012 Author #24 Posted June 28, 2012 I am still sore from taking a tumble on Tuesday when I was getting off of the tractor. I was in a hurry so the horses didnt get out threw the gate steped off and found a hole about 2 feet deep twised my ancle a bit and my right knee gave out and I hit the dirt. Good thing is there was no fresh horse apples to land on. Have a safe ride. Orlin
Flyinfool Posted June 28, 2012 #25 Posted June 28, 2012 Another guy trying to steal my routine. I can do enough falling down for everyone here, you don't need to be trying to follow my act. Its gonna be a pressure cooker. Is that trout stream by the camping area big enough to fall into to cool off in? Just have to check for stream monsters first....... Friday http://icons-ak.wxug.com/i/c/k/chancetstorms.gif Mostly cloudy in the morning, then partly cloudy. High of 90F. Winds less than 5 mph. Chance of rain 20%.
