mini-muffin Posted June 8, 2012 #1 Posted June 8, 2012 Not sure what happened but they say I'll Have Another is being pulled from running the Belmont stakes. Something seems to be wrong with the horse. They are having a press conference at 1 this afternoon. So now we have to wait till next year for a possible triple crown winner. Margaret
SilvrT Posted June 8, 2012 #2 Posted June 8, 2012 That's sad news for young Mario .. he's become quite the "celebrity" around here... as you know he is a local here. http://www.theglobeandmail.com/sports/more-sports/the-magic-hands-of-mario-gutierrez/article4241025/?service=mobile
gibvel Posted June 8, 2012 #3 Posted June 8, 2012 It's a ploy, a ploy I tell you!!! They're just trying to throw everyone off and then they'll come back and smoke everyone.

SilvrT Posted June 8, 2012 #5 Posted June 8, 2012 Does that mean that some trainer is in deep dodo? If so, it wouldn't be Doggie Dodo .... coz Eck already found that ...
Dano Posted June 8, 2012 #6 Posted June 8, 2012 They're talking about his front tendon, after a practice yesterday it was swollen a bit
mini-muffin Posted June 8, 2012 Author #7 Posted June 8, 2012 Seems to be Tendonitis. They are retiring the horse. Should make good money in breeding fees. Now we can ponder what will happen next year. Margaret
Yammer Dan Posted June 8, 2012 #8 Posted June 8, 2012 We could put a 1st gen in his place. Really a shame I was looking forward to it.
Squidley Posted June 10, 2012 #9 Posted June 10, 2012 That horse will make his owner LOTS of money being studded out

mini-muffin Posted June 10, 2012 Author #11 Posted June 10, 2012 He would have made lots more if he had run and won the triple crown. On the other hand having a problem with his leg he could have ended not only his career, but his life. The race was pretty good anyway, great ending and it was close. Margaret
