Who wants to get together for a ride this Saturday? :confused24: Or Sunday if that's prefered? Maybe meet for breakfast or along a route somewhere. Thinking of going out to the Irish Hills area, perhaps lunch at the sports bar & grill at US-12 & US 23.

Depending on who wants to attend we can alter meet locations as well as where we go. Maybe a nice ice cream stop before the days over. :whistling:

Ok, time for a shameless plug.......

Why don't you guys come by Rosenau Saturday at 10:00 for the STAR Touring meeting? Afterwards we're riding to Adrian for lunch then to Dundee for ice cream. Should be a fun day.

We are trying to leave at one or so on friday afternoon if my wife can leave work at noon. If not we plan to leave early saturday morning, two lane blacktop all the way there. We are staying at Rest All Inn rite in Oscoda just for saturday nite and coming home on Sunday not to late.

Sniff....my bike is broken.

The shock finally started barfing oil, so it's handling horribly and the ignition switch works only about half of the time. I've got a toggle switch wired in so it's rideable, but it's no fun to ride very far with the rear suspender like it is.

:crying:

Joe

Yep that's the place Joe.

Carl we may well take you up on that offer. Do we need to print and fill out the rider waiver forms prior to attending or do you have forms available at site?

Larry

UPDATE: Printed out forms and did some reading thru the Star site.

Where at for lunch and what time? I have to work some Sat. morning, but Adrian is only an hour away. My Yamaha is down right now, but if you would let me in with my Harley Ultra I might show up. I seen Larry at B2 Mom and Dad's and I think I could put up with him for a little while.:stickpoke:

Looks like ( Larry, Joe & I) we're going South of the border into Canada tomorrow. We'll make our way up to Sarnia for the return trip, who knows where we'll go in between both bridge crossings. Maybe Grand Bend. Any of our Canadian friends wanna meet for lunch or suggest some good roads to ride? Any more riders coming speak up now.

Jay, the only good riding roads we have are the ones close to the water. If you get on Riverside Drive in Windsor and head east and stay close to the water you'll end up in Chatham. From there the roads are mostly straight and boring until you get up to the ST. Clair River.

If you have the extra time head south along the Detroit River from Windsor to Amherstburg and just stay as close as you can to the river and lake Erie to Wheatley and Blenheim. Then you can go to Ridgetown and up to Thamesville where you can catch a road that runs back to Chatham along the south side of the Thames river through the Indian reservation.

Wish I could join you as I ride these roads all the time and know them well.

Not a bad day at all. Just the 3 of us, Carbon One, Star4772 and I. The plan was to ride into Canada but that changed this morning. We ended up going southwest after a good breakfast. Our first stop was in Hell for ice water, after 3 of them we continued southwest to Onsted, Mi. and toured Town and County Cycle then into Artiesan Wells bar where we ate a big lunch. After lunch we visited Round Lake (see pics below) and stopped for a break, Joe had to sit down on the bench to let his food settle, one look at the bench and you can see why. :rotfl: Then we headed for home.
