no headlight or dash

87 venture-headlight and dash recently went out. cant find blown fuse and bulb oms ok..w-d40 ignition switch-no change

Check the Starter Button. There's a normally closed Switch in there which disconnects the Front Light during starting. If teh Button is hed bck by gunk or the Contacts are corroded. the Light won't come back on after you started the Motor.

On my 85 I have to start it and then hook my fingernail behind starter button and pull out. Then all is fine. Another one of those things from spending all those years in corner of garage. I'm going to clean it...just as soon as I ...
