utadventure Posted May 31, 2012 #1 Posted May 31, 2012 We have a trip to St. George coming up end of next week and I decided I was going to have to take the trailer with. I've had the Piggybacker for a few years and used it on occasion but always thought it looked too plain, so.....thought I'd make it fit the bike: http://i470.photobucket.com/albums/rr70/utadventure/Piggybacker/SANY0014.jpg
Bob Myers Posted May 31, 2012 #4 Posted May 31, 2012 How in the world do you get that Sportster on there when it quits? Man, you must be a champion packaging guy.
buddy Posted May 31, 2012 #5 Posted May 31, 2012 Nice looking but why is your cargo box mounting on back wards?
Cougar Posted May 31, 2012 #6 Posted May 31, 2012 Ya know Buddy YOUR RIGHT. I didn't even notice that until you said somthing... my piggy is not mounted like that. someone put it on wrong when they got the kit. not very aero dynamic that way as well. BUT NICE LOOKING !!
utadventure Posted May 31, 2012 Author #7 Posted May 31, 2012 Nice looking but why is your cargo box mounting on back wards? Now it's going to bug me..... Thanks guys!
utadventure Posted May 31, 2012 Author #8 Posted May 31, 2012 How in the world do you get that Sportster on there when it quits? Man, you must be a champion packaging guy. You go back and pick up the pieces.... reassemble back at home :rotf: Boy I'm glad Jan doesn't read this forum!
Bob Myers Posted May 31, 2012 #10 Posted May 31, 2012 Nice looking but why is your cargo box mounting on back wards? Its not mounted backwards, the tongue is on the wrong end.

Trader Posted May 31, 2012 #12 Posted May 31, 2012 aw man! Now you gotta cut the tounge off, move all the lights and plate, reweld the tounge.....
Aussie Annie Posted June 1, 2012 #13 Posted June 1, 2012 Just un-bolt the 4 bolts and turn it around Bet that's done in the next couple of days
friesman Posted June 1, 2012 #14 Posted June 1, 2012 Nice looking but why is your cargo box mounting on back wards? I actually like the look of it better that way, as it matches the lines of the trunk on your G1 bike when youre pulling it. The trunk on your G1 has that same taper on the back as the trailer, and now with the decal/trim it looks even more like a match to me. Brian

I didn't think it looked backwards considering the bike it is towed with.
bongobobny Posted June 1, 2012 #16 Posted June 1, 2012 I did the same thing with my piggybacker when I was using Goldie! Even did the fenders too. And, I mounted my box the way yours is because it looked better and worked out better with the cooler there...
dacheedah Posted June 1, 2012 #17 Posted June 1, 2012 Ok leave the hitch on the back and add one to the front. You will have a push me pull you trailer, a truely one of a kind and will definately confuse those behind you. the aerodynamic thing always got me, a teardrop trailer is bigger in front than in the rear, kind of like an airplane wing, so why aren't those mounted backwords??

That's it....installing the cargo area backwards creates lift like an airplane wing, making the trailer lighter and using less fuel to pull....
Boomer Posted June 1, 2012 #19 Posted June 1, 2012 That's it....installing the cargo area backwards creates lift like an airplane wing, making the trailer lighter and using less fuel to pull.... HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! Nice...
Jonesboy Posted June 1, 2012 #20 Posted June 1, 2012 aw man! Now you gotta cut the tounge off, move all the lights and plate, reweld the tounge..... Now that's a lot of work, me I'd just paint the rims and let it go...........
