Yamamike Posted May 30, 2012 #1 Posted May 30, 2012 Well I finally got her back together, certified and registered (new plate) and got her out for the shakedown ride this evening. I was like a little kid...so exited, I was about three click from home when I realized I didn't have the mirrors installed. Back home I went..got em on and back out again. Only two concerns; 1) a slight miss but I know I'll have to sync the carbs (new diaphragms installed). 2) she was wandering very slightly at highway speeds and I'm wondering if I need to tweak the air pressure in my new Kenda Kruz's. When I got home I was checking her over and found that the fork brace was only finger tight (DOH!!!) so that's likely the problem there? I'll find out tomorrow on the way to work. Will try to post pics tomorrow. Heroes Highway ride Saturday...woohoo!
Flyinfool Posted May 30, 2012 #2 Posted May 30, 2012 Be a good time for another once over to see what other things might be only finger tight. It is always better to find them loose screws before they tell you all about it.
utadventure Posted May 31, 2012 #5 Posted May 31, 2012 Mike- Your bike looks great. Reminds me of the '84 we did for Alan (Quickstep from Australia). We had the logos put on by a pin stripper rather than the OEM. http://s470.photobucket.com/albums/rr70/utadventure/Alans%2084%20Rebuild/ Dave
