Rick Haywood Posted May 27, 2012 Author #4 Posted May 27, 2012 works fine for me must be something with my anti virus.
etcswjoe Posted May 27, 2012 #5 Posted May 27, 2012 There is a malware going around that messes with your DNS or host table, try symantec.com and mcafee.com if you cannot get to both of them you may have it. I got it on my laptop my last trip and had to reloaded it.
djh3 Posted May 28, 2012 #6 Posted May 28, 2012 Malwarebytes is free. May have to boot up in "safe" mode to install. Sometimes these viruses keep you from installing software to elminate them.

Rick Haywood Posted May 28, 2012 Author #8 Posted May 28, 2012 Well I ran a scan and no issues found. I could also open both the links that etcswjoe suggested with no issues so not sure what is up. This is the only site I am having trouble with. I really need on the sight though. Not sure what to do.
etcswjoe Posted May 28, 2012 #9 Posted May 28, 2012 Rick did you try another computer in your house? Check your firewall to make sure its not blocked for some reason. Also what error are you getting when you try it? Also go to this site http://www.dns-ok.us/ it will tell you if your DNS is good or not.
djh3 Posted May 28, 2012 #10 Posted May 28, 2012 Hmm do you maybe have another browser installed like chrome? My company web site will not allow me on with IE, but works with chrome. I can use IE from any other computer in the house and get on just not mine.

I can use IE from any other computer in the house and get on just not mine. I use Chrome and have never had a problem. I also tried other browsers today and it still doesn't work. I ran the malwarebytes program and no issues found. I ran the dns check and everything was fine, i turned off my firewall and tried in and still wouldn't come up. I hooked up the computer direct instead of through the wireless router and still nothing. I am dumbfounded. I went to my daughters computer and it worked fine. So something in mine I guess. I shut off the anti virus and it still will not work.

Prairiehammer Posted May 28, 2012 #17 Posted May 28, 2012 Rick, I know you are not running Internet Explorer, but the 5B4 error may be significant. Go here and maybe there is a clue to your problem: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/ie/forum/ie9-windows_vista/5b4-error-trying-to-install-ie9/098788e0-f0fe-466d-9200-e4f2df73b86b
