Monty Posted May 26, 2012 #1 Posted May 26, 2012 We went up to Jackson, Missouri today, to look at a red '56 Ford, but it wasn't up to snuff. BUT....the guy had this sweet '55 Ford, and it was just right. Brought it home with us. Has a fairly fresh 292 in it, and it runs sweet.
Marcarl Posted May 26, 2012 #2 Posted May 26, 2012 Now if that was a '56 Monarch, I'd be downright jealous, maybe even a bit more than jealous, but, hey it's not, so I'm just happy for him,,, nice lookin' buggy!!!!
Monty Posted May 26, 2012 Author #3 Posted May 26, 2012 He really wants another '56 Crown, but they are going for big $$$$, so this will have to do.
Eck Posted May 26, 2012 #5 Posted May 26, 2012 I too would like to have a 56 crown...or the 58 hardtop convertable.. Nice vehiicle you brought home Montey...looks like orginal colors also...!!
djh3 Posted May 26, 2012 #6 Posted May 26, 2012 I have said this a million times Barret Jackson killed the resto-hot rods for my generation. Every moron that has a piece of a 50-60-70 car thinks its "project car". They think its worth more than new. OK sorry I'm done now. Lord I appolgize.
Dano Posted May 26, 2012 #7 Posted May 26, 2012 (edited) Great looking car Pat! We went up to a local every Friday nite gathering of Hot Rods last nite and saw about 6-8 of the same age! Getting my son some schooling on how to work on and rebuild these older cars as when he's 35 or so, most of the guys working on them now will be too old..... His first project, he's done the body work and paint last year in school. a regular 350 4 bolt block with nothin' special yet...... Edited May 26, 2012 by Dano
