DarkLeftArm Posted May 23, 2012 Share #1 Posted May 23, 2012 Just finished installing this stainless steel rack my girlfriend found on ebay. $45 bucks and some fasteners and junk I had laying around bought us a serviceable rack. This is a low budge bike from the git-go, so I'm just sticking to my theme. Thing is, due to a mixup, we ended up with 2 of these racks, so I figured if anybody else could use it, if you want to pay shipping, I'd happily give it to you. Who needs a very inexpensive generic looking luggage rack? heh heh heh

bongobobny Posted May 23, 2012 Share #5 Posted May 23, 2012 I once made one up from a bbq grille, some flat aluminum stock and some tubular aluminum stock for my '84. got lots of compliments on it too! Cost me about $30 or so and a few hours of my time...
Condor Posted May 23, 2012 Share #6 Posted May 23, 2012 Just a suggestion on your installation. You might want to add support strap/plates to the underside of the rack to prevent any trunk fracturing if you already haven't done so. Other than that, very nice job... and nice offer.... dacheedah Posted May 23, 2012 Share #7 Posted May 23, 2012 I was going to say the same, mine has straps that are pre bent to the conture ontop the trunk , under the rack, and under the trunk itself.
