wes0778 Posted May 23, 2012 #1 Posted May 23, 2012 Ok, Got the bike up and got the pumpkin off. Splines to the u-joint aren't completely dry, but, not much grease on them. Next question is how much pressure should it take to pull the drive shaft out of the pinion?

Next question is how much pressure should it take to pull the drive shaft out of the pinion? You should be able to pull it out by hand. Hold the pumpkin with your feet and pull. There is a seal on the shaft in the pumpkin housing, you can see it. May have to wiggle it a bit. Do not use a large screw driver to tap the seal or you'll tear it.
