TxVenture Posted January 10, 2008 #1 Posted January 10, 2008 Was down at one of the local dealers here in Houston today. Got to talking to one of the salespeople about the Venture and when is Yamaha going to dump the tape player and go with a CD changer? Well he said that when they were at the annual shindig that Yamaha has the rep said to take a good look at the '08 because that was going to be the end of the Venture as we know it now. I tried to pry more info out of him but he said that is all he knows right now. Said they will probably see what Yamaha is going to do in Sep. this year and will probably have a release date Feb. '09. I said,"oh, a new first gen", and he said it will definately be a new and different look than what they have now. I guess we can always dream tho. Don H.
Red Ryder Posted January 10, 2008 #2 Posted January 10, 2008 Yea, Yamaha probably has taken all they want to about the RSV set up, and hopefully will improve it. I for one would like to see reverse. The lighter frame and new engine on the roadliner with a lower center of gravity will help with the weight dispursment. But if you noticed even Harley went to a 6 gallon gas tank on their Touring Bikes. This is what I expect to see. Later-
