Unexpected trip

wife & daughter went to Mobile, Al on Sunday, she called today and said " what are you doing tomorrow" which right then I knew SOMETHING was up. I replied I'm working u know that... then she said "well I was HOPING you could come get me tomorrow" which I replied.... well I guess I can IF i need to, she said u need to... so I'm going to work early then as quick as I can get done I'm off to MOBILE, 287 miles 1 way...

well CRAP.... my unexpected trip made an UNEXPECTED halt!! got a call from inlaws our golden retriever who is 13 is down and looks like we are gonna have to make a decision about putting him down :(... when wife and daughter heard this they are headed home..The ole boy has been a joy to the whole neighborhood... Will be a sad day for us all..

I'm sorry to hear that news, but 13 is alot of years for a retriever hope it's not as bad as all that, prayers and hugs.

thanks, My 25 year old daughter will be the one hurting the most. That ole dog use to walk with her and he would hold her hand in his mouth as they walked. She would sit down and he'd crawl up in her lap and sit, lol she 5'10 120lbs and he weighs over 90lbs ... course she's had the dog over 1/2 of her life... again thanks for prayers & concern

I go to pieces when I lose one of my cats, for me they are my daily companionship since I'm the stay at home wife. (Yes, I thoroughly love dogs too) so it's like losing a kid/friend all in one. I hate hearing when others lose their pets, makes me very sad.

well pets are family... so I know how u feel..and yes it's like losing a family/friend...
