Sorry but if that's a bun burner you need a new seat. You could do a lot of site seeing in 4 days and take lots of pictures. Oh and I'm no ironbutt rider either.:confused24:

Playboy not everyone is a gluten for punishment like we are. 400 miles is a good relaxed day for me don't know how much longer my body will let me do that.

When are you doing this, I have been thinking about taking a week off and just heading out myself.

HeHe not as long as your mind tells you you can still do it. Didn't mean any offense sounds like a nice leisurely ride but aside from health reasons can't see a rsv being uncomfortable for that distance in 4 days. Not sure how long OP has had his RSV but he should be comfortable was what I was trying to say. I just didn't do a very good job of it my bad.

longest 1 day ride I've done was 457...i did it twice lol in the middle of july ,wouldn't have been bad at all if I'd had the bike i have now... that was on a 1100 honda shadow..

I had a V Star 1100 before my Rsv no way I would have attempted that distance in a day on it the Rsv is so much more comfortable our first day of 400 plus miles on it was so easy I couldn't believe it. Given the time of year your planning your trip I think that would be the maximum that I would try and push it especially if it's hot. But thats just me.

Have you thought about riding the Dragon since you will be right there at the bottom?

Looks like you had a great ride. I love to ride alot of the roads you rode and 250 miles a day on some of them is a good days ride. I plan to be in Black Mt. next weekend and will be riding some of the same roads.

Someday soon, I want to ride alone or along with someone who is courageous. I just rode to Dallas tx from North Mississippi, 606 miles. Then turned around 2 days later and rode back. I think I can make 1000 miles in one day. U c, I am a professional truck driver, so long days aren't a stranger to me. As long as you have a good water source you can really do well on a bike. You must have a cooler for water and gatorade on board. Hydration is the key, along with a good pain killer for the butt and legs. Lets do it someone. However lets dont do it in the heat. Maybe April next year, or october this fall.:322:

Last 3yr I have rode up to my friends house near Charlotte Nc. 650 mi from my place. Then the next day we ride up to his nieces place in Ashland Ky on back roads. Quite the nice trip. That has been on a Kawasaki 900 Vulcan. I'm looking forward to it this year on the RSV.

Did the actual route show up for anybody? All I got was the red marker for the start. The directions were there.

If you were head more to central GA, I'd say stop in and sit a spell, however your route will take you much further north than where I live, oh well, maybe next time.

Well if you're coming through to make a trip, let me know. Hubby has lived in GA 12 yrs now and still hasn't made the trip to Savannah yet. Will give me an excuse to get him to take time off and just do it lol.

Looks like a great leisure ride.

If anyone is sore after 850 miles in four days, then they really need a new seat.

There are times when I wish my 1800 mile weekends were run at a more relaxed pace. Getting to the summit of the Capulin Volcano, and only having ten minutes there before I had to leave is not satisfying at times.

Enjoy your ride.
