Mariner Fan Posted January 11, 2008 #7 Posted January 11, 2008 Ah the old 8 track. Had one in my first car. Had to put a match book under to tape to make it play right. Fixed the 8 track tape with scotch tape when it broke. This was in the mid 70's. The cool tape players were made by Craig.

Pecker Posted January 11, 2008 #14 Posted January 11, 2008 :guitarist 2::guitarist 2::guitarist 2::guitarist 2: Can't believe nobody has mentioned the Motor City Madman Ted Nugent, love that song Strangelhold!!!! And how about KISS, the greatest rock n roll band ever. My favorite song ever is still Strutter. I came along just before cassettes kicked the 8 track off the planet. Still remember replacing all of my Jefferson Starship and CCR 8 tracks with cassettes. Now I just buy the songs on-line and load em on an MP3. Times sure have changed!:backinmyday: Lets keep this thread rolling, its been a nice ride down memory lane! Like the Dead sang, "What long, strange trip it's been"
