b2dad Posted May 22, 2012 #29 Posted May 22, 2012 Buckshot: Glad you all had a good trip home. Our VR members from KY that came were WayneO (Wayne Wilson and wife Jackie) or Spider (Rex and Mary). Buddy: That was awesome news about your knees and Peg's back. Therefore you need to come here every year! and glad you made it home ok. That was very nice of Raymond and Joan to open their home to you. Trader: We are NOT prejudice..you saw Canadians there, right? LOL. Actually, they are definitely the best! I didn't take the video, so you will need to ask Monty about that. All were welcome, so maybe the 1st Gens couldn't make the trip. ???? thanks again to all who came and made this the best meet ever! Love you all Patti and Don

DragonRider Posted May 22, 2012 #31 Posted May 22, 2012 That was the only 1st gen there, and it was a beautiful example of such a great bike, that bike belonged to Buck Shot, and he is the original owner, I even tried to buy it from him not once but several times, but his wife would not let him sell it, there is a story there and a very good one, maybe he will share it with everyone some day, I wish he would have had the sidecar on it. His son was there riding his Harley and his parents were also there on their Harley Trike, it was the beautiful red on in my pics. The man has great taste in bikes, and takes pride in owning them so they are extremely nice bikes. Hopefully next year I will be on my Mk I 1st Gen. Wow....I only saw ONE 1st Gen. BuckShot Posted May 25, 2012 #33 Posted May 25, 2012 DragonRider--See first pic. I think you jinxed me. 40 years of riding and never had such bad luck on a trip. Oh well, some parts are ordered and looking for the others. Elizabethtown KY. hates me or I hate the town...
DragonRider Posted May 25, 2012 #35 Posted May 25, 2012 What the heck happened, it didnt look like that last time I saw it......guess you should have sold it while it was still pristine.............:bang head: DragonRider--See first pic. BuckShot Posted May 25, 2012 #36 Posted May 25, 2012 What the heck happened, it didnt look like that last time I saw it......guess you should have sold it while it was still pristine.............:bang head: Parked the bike and walked away about 4 ft. and heard something and saw it falling over into a pillar and block flower bed. Busted windshield, busted plastic chrome on fairing, rear bag guard twisted a tiny bit, busted two of my mini barron light chrome covers, but can't see any scrapes or marks in the paint. Will know more when I get a chance to inspect it better this weekend. Told the wife after I picked it up that we should sell it when its fixed, SHE did not like that idea.
BuckShot Posted May 26, 2012 #38 Posted May 26, 2012 Monty..40 yrs of riding and never had anything happen this bad before. Oh well, bound to happen sometime.
b2dad Posted May 26, 2012 #39 Posted May 26, 2012 So very sorry this happened to you and your 1st gen. That is so hard to look at Gil. Well, you know....if it had been triked, it would not have fallen over...just saying....
