212 KPH computes to about 131 mph. ON WOOD!

 

I want to know how smooth that surface was and how many splinters you got if you fell! Also, look how all those people were piled up in the pit area with no protection or wall. Scary compared to today.

Pretty cool movie...clear too for such an old one..

I didnt notice one woman through out the whole movie...

no brakes and SUPER thin tires...

The rubber back then was NOT very good...

 

So if the guy ahead of you blew a tire and laid it down...

you could just try and pick a spot for your first bounce...

 

This was OUTSIDE, so you KNOW the boards were warping

and weathering. These guys USED their leathers!

 

And did anybody notice the trendy helmets?

 

These were men of steel.
