juggler Posted January 10, 2008 #51 Posted January 10, 2008 Squidley wins in the bike wrecking competition. Squidley has proved he can wreck his own bike better than Charlie can wreck Squidley's bike. :rotf::rotfl::rasberry: God was with you two. May God be with us all when we ride.
kantornado Posted January 10, 2008 #52 Posted January 10, 2008 Well this tread gave me some good laughs and it has been written WE ARE ALL GLAD YOU TWO ARE O.K. Hope you know how much you two are LOVED by all who know you. As always your welcome at our place anytime. You gonna be able to strip some parts off before the yard gets it or are they all pretty much a write off. I seen that trunk brake light you could put on a newer model it didn't look to bad...............Ron
muffinman Posted January 10, 2008 #53 Posted January 10, 2008 Brad take the VR Guardian bell off the scoot and make sure you hold on to it maybe make it into a Christmas ornament.I think you used up all of its protective powers. I am glad to know that the two of you came out of this wreck with minor injuries compared to what they could have been. Rest up and take care of each other and remember We All Love you two and are concerned about you. Jeff

Jeff So where is the VR Guardian Bell? I blew up most of the photos and I didn't see it? Did the gremlins get it?
FROG MAN Posted January 10, 2008 #55 Posted January 10, 2008 Squidley wins in the bike wrecking competition. Squidley has proved he can wreck his own bike better than Charlie can wreck Squidley's bike. :rotf::rotfl::rasberry: God was with you two. May God be with us all when we ride. He could always write a best seller. 99 reasons not to own a 99.:rotf: Wait Mamamo has a 99!
Venturous Randy Posted January 10, 2008 #56 Posted January 10, 2008 It is hard to think you are lucky to have been involved in something like this, but you two were sure lucky to have survived it. From the pictures, it looks like you were still moving at a pretty good clip when it plowed under. Many times when you lay it down in grass, the vehicle may actually stop a lot quicker because it digs in. Sometimes making memories can be tough. RandyA
RoadKill Posted January 10, 2008 #57 Posted January 10, 2008 I know that some of you have waited paitently for some pics of whats left of my '99.....here are some for you Man am I glad you two were not hurt any worse than you were. Been praying for speedy recovery since it happened. I keep thinking back to us standing in the back of the trailer and lookin it all over commenting on how your were getting it how you wanted it. How did the hitch rack fair? Looked fair in one of the pics. Its that good old Squid craftsmanship! Of course, I won't pay you as much for it now though Take care and start shopping for that next bike:thumbsup:
Eck Posted January 10, 2008 #58 Posted January 10, 2008 Yep, I agree with what Dale said... I don't think you were suppose to have a 99 RSV better try your luck with a newer one..... I dont think the guardian bell is worth much any more either ...it's time for a new one of them too... I bet your insurance man was just delighted when he heard about this 99 being totaled .....like he was with your past 99 that was also totaled i nEureka Springs....Appears to me (and your insurance man) that this is becoming a bad bad habit of yours and those 99's.... So you really ought to consider what Dale said.. Sure am glad you two are ok though!!.
Wrongway Posted January 10, 2008 #59 Posted January 10, 2008 Gee you guys, What won't you do for a little attention? OK OK, I'll lighten up. Glad you are doing better than you have a right to. I'll call you later today. Heal quickly and get back out there. Maybe you want an '04 white? Let's see, I sell the 04 and the V-Strom and get an FJR or similar. Maybe a win/win :whistling:for both of us! You're probably safe as long as you stay away from the 99s.
stardbog Posted January 10, 2008 #60 Posted January 10, 2008 DUUUUDE BRAD, That's call a wreck. And Just walk away....... Its Miracle... Say Hi To Lonna. Love you Both.

RSV Angel Posted January 10, 2008 #63 Posted January 10, 2008 Squidly, No--, this is not the proper way to split the fairing and remove the windshield from a RSV. I tried to tell you to go to the tech section and read the instructions there.:bighug:Now to the serious stuff. Man I'm glad y'all limped away from it. We will continue to pray for your speedy recovery in Ga.
Guest Swifty Posted January 10, 2008 #64 Posted January 10, 2008 ...looks like a real traffic stopper; nice to see you guys all standing/walking around the scene.
stardbog Posted January 10, 2008 #65 Posted January 10, 2008 Only Thing you can doit with a bike is to strip down plastic and make Tour Deluxe....

Squidley Posted January 10, 2008 Author #67 Posted January 10, 2008 So where is the VR Guardian Bell? I blew up most of the photos and I didn't see it? Did the gremlins get it? I didn't have one of the VR guardian bells on it, I had one my Brother in law gave us. Now that bell is somewhere in The Baton Rouge swamp dirt .....but it sure did serve it's purpose

FreezyRider Posted January 10, 2008 #70 Posted January 10, 2008 Wow, Brad.....glad that bronco bucked you off into the soft grass instead of throwing you under her and then stomping on ya! To be able to walk away from something that looks like that is proof that you are under His watchful eye. Get back in the saddle soon! Joe

buddy Posted January 10, 2008 #73 Posted January 10, 2008 Boy just seeing these photos prove there is a higher power and that you both walked away from this is a blessing from above. i always say my prayers before heading out and seeing these photos shows why! buddy
rsstar Posted January 10, 2008 #74 Posted January 10, 2008 Been away from the site for a couple of days. Man Squid, I sure am glad you and Lonna are ok. I know exactly how you feel about not knowing what all happened, except that I know how and why mine started. I just don't remember leaving the bike or hitting the ground but I do remember rolling some and stopping with my arm in a weird position. I take it this just involved you. God I'm glad you are ok. I even remember hitting the other bike...it was a light blue Road King, but I never saw the people on the bike. Unfortunately my 06 was totaled..didn't look near as bad as yours but I felt the same as you, it would never be right. Lonna, my prayers are with you for a speedy recovery. I'm going to therapy with my shoulder...at about 25%. Still will require knee surgery. Squid, how did you mange NO injuries????????Or did I miss a post???
lateralvibe Posted January 10, 2008 #75 Posted January 10, 2008 Sorry to hear about your mishap, but oh so glad to see that you both are doing as well as you are. As others have said, certainly some one higher was looking after you both. Our prayers for a speedy and full recovery. Paul & Gail
