TheKid Posted May 15, 2012 #1 Posted May 15, 2012 Edited: Post got posted before i completed sorry Was wondering if anyone has the template to cute blank aluminum hinge accents. I was looking at buying the Yamaha ones but wow they are pricey. If i can find a template i might be able to find someone to cute me some blank ones so that I can get them engraved. Thanks for the help everyone
Kregerdoodle Posted May 15, 2012 #2 Posted May 15, 2012 Never seen a templet, may have to make your own, shouldn`t be to hard to do. With any luck someone on here will be able to help you out.. good luck.. K

TheKid Posted July 7, 2012 Author #4 Posted July 7, 2012 just want to refresh this post. Does any one have a set of smooth saddlebag accents that they never got around putting on the hinges. I am looking for the smooth set or maybe a template so i can maybe get some gut out. I am trying to add new swag to the bike. Thanks venture family.
Bummer Posted July 7, 2012 #5 Posted July 7, 2012 This may be a bit more than you want to spend, but someone on Ebay is selling a set of the Yamaha billet ones. Just search Ebay for "YAMAHA ROYAL STAR VENTURE BILLET SADDLEBAG HINGE KIT". Seller is "Yamahaonestopshop". Of course for the price they want I'd just peel the existing ones off and make a template from them. And get 'em made from stainless. Yamaha aftermarket chrome doesn't seem to last very well.
gibvel Posted July 7, 2012 #6 Posted July 7, 2012 Freebird did a saddlebag hing plate buy at one time. He had names and whatnot engraved on them. Maybe we could ask him to post info about where he got them and do another buy!
playboy Posted July 7, 2012 #7 Posted July 7, 2012 Yamahasportsplaza has them http://www.yamahasportsplaza.com/ $ 57.71
Freebird Posted July 7, 2012 #9 Posted July 7, 2012 I doubt that we have enough interest for me to order custom ones again. I think that the minimum order was 50 or 75 sets.

TheKid Posted July 7, 2012 Author #11 Posted July 7, 2012 I am def in. I am sure the custom ones are cheaper than the Yamaha ones on ebay.
